DIEGO ROMO

Originally from Mexico City, Diego moved to the United States at a very young age. Using his drawing talent to navigate a new culture and language, art became his primary means of communication and expression.

Despite earning a degree in international business, Diego’s passion for art led him to study at Watts Atelier, where he mastered techniques of the old masters, particularly in figure and portrait studies.

Diego’s work blends precision with expressive mark-making and vibrant colors. He often begins with a general idea, but lets inspiration guide the creative process, allowing each piece to evolve naturally.

Residing mostly in the Nokomis area, Diego draws inspiration from his extensive travels with his family, recently exploring new destinations in their RV.
